2024 - Contemporary consumption - After Effects

This mixed-media project was developed as a group assignment exploring contemporary image consumption and digital communication systems within social platforms. Our response focuses on the concept of hyperlinks as a structural and conceptual entry point into how information circulates online. The audio narration defines what a hyperlink is and explains its function as a connector between data, content, and meaning, while the visual layer translates this idea into a fragmented and interconnected composition. Created with Lesly ANDRé, Esther GARTNER, and Lise MASSIANGA, the project combines 2D and mixed-media experimentation to reflect on how navigation, association, and instant access shape the way we perceive and consume information today.

Project Process

The production was mainly carried out in After Effects, using a structured motion design workflow to build rhythm and clarity across the sequence. The visual approach was based on a sober, flat design system, enriched with a controlled use of color to guide attention and reinforce hierarchy within the information. Motion, transitions, and typographic elements were designed to support the narration of hyperlinks as a networked system, ensuring coherence between the audio explanation and the visual interpretation. This balance between simplicity and color allowed the project to remain readable while maintaining an expressive and contemporary graphic identity.
