This AI-driven short film, created in a duo using ComfyUI, explores the creative possibilities of generative workflows as a narrative tool. The project is built around the theme of transformation, depicting a character undergoing a shift in state — whether physical, mental, or metaphorical. Through the use of AI image generation and iterative visual prompting, the film stages the gradual deformation of the body, the space, and the environment, where identity is constantly dissolving and reassembling. This process-driven approach turns instability into a central narrative device, using generative tools not only as production methods but as active participants in the storytelling.
Project Process
The production process combined a series of AI-driven tools within ComfyUI to structure and guide the visual evolution of the film. Pose control and depth mapping were used to maintain coherence in character movement and spatial continuity, ensuring that the transformation remained readable across generated frames. These inputs acted as structural anchors within an otherwise highly iterative generation workflow. The visuals were then refined through enhancement stages, where detail, texture, and lighting consistency were progressively adjusted to reinforce the cinematic quality of the sequences.
